Volunteers pack hygine bags for those in need

Teachers and students from Brumby Elementary volunteered to pack hygiene packs for those in need.

On Sept. 14 volunteers from Brumby Elementary School, MUST Minstries and Simple Needs Georgia packed bags for teachers, seniors and those in need as a part of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta's Days of Service event.

More than 50 volunteers gathered at the Northeast Cobb Family YMCA in Marietta to pack hygiene bags, write letters for seniors, make blankets for children in shelters and fill teacher survival kits with supplies.

More than 2,000 volunteers joined together to meet the needs of Atlantans across 28 project sites.

In addition to Days of Service, metro Atlanta volunteers work directly with YMCA members, mentor youth in leadership programs, teach classes, coach sports teams, help with homework and much more.
