School supplies for Meals by Grace are being gathered at Music Authority in Cummings.

Music Authority employees, students and parents will be collecting school supplies, stuffed animals and other comforts for children ages 1-18 and is inviting the public to join in. Items can be dropped off now through July 24 at the store located at 123 Merchants square.

These items will be divided among children currently in the Meals By Grace program, separated by age groups and placed into gift bags for family food boxes that will be delivered the week before school starts. Meals by Grace is a no cost, delivered meal program available to the children of Forsyth County and their families. These families have been identified as having a special need by the Forsyth County School System Social Workers with limited or unreliable transportation.

With just under 200 children in the Meals By Grace program, all supply donations are appreciated. If you happen to pick up extra groceries, or find a buy-one-get-one sale when purchasing children's school supplies, please drop off the extra items at Music Authority. A large box will be placed at the front of the store for collected items.  Music Authority will be assembling the bags on Sat., July 25.
