Mansions Named #6 in the Nation by the 2019 Best Workplaces for Aging Services by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

 

(Oklahoma/Georgia) – Great Place to Work and FORTUNE announced today that Oklahoma City-based Mansions Senior Living as one of the 2019 Best Workplaces for Aging Services. 

 

Mansions took the #6 spot on the list out of 20 companies in the small and medium business category. The company placed #33 out of 50 in 2018.

 

The ranking is the result of feedback from 223,183 employees working for Great Place to Work-Certified organizations in Senior Housing and Care and At-Home Care in the Aging Services industry. 

 

Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included how much employees trust leaders, how management treats and respects its employees, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and gives higher scores to companies that best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. 

 

“Our overriding attitude is, ‘what can we do to help people be happier and work better?’ That’s why we are so proud and gratified to receive this recognition,” said Kim Davis, owner of Mansions Senior Living. “Being small allows us to do what is right for both residents and employees to make their lives the best they can be.”

 

And it seems to be successful. The Mansions Senior Living has earned the nationally recognized Great Place to Work certification for the last two years.  Of the employees surveyed for the certification, 100 percent said they were made to feel welcome when they joined the company and 98 percent said that management was approachable and that they were treated as a full members of the company, regardless of their position. 

In addition, 98 percent of employees indicated that they hoped to remain with The Mansions for many years to come, alluding to the fulfillment that working with the company offers. Being part of a work family that focuses on nurturing and loving some of society’s most vulnerable members offers purpose that goes beyond a mere job.
