Board certified medical oncologists Bamidele Adesunloye, MD, MS, FACP and Hima Bindu Lingam, MD have joined an experienced roster of nearly 200 physicians at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in metro Atlanta.  Specifically, Drs. Adesunloye and Lingam will serve the specialty hospital’s Genitourinary Cancer Center and Thoracic Cancer Center, respectively.

Prior to joining CTCA®, Dr. Adesunloye served as the division director of oncology services and director of clinical research at Indiana University Health in Lafayette, Ind. He was also the principal investigator of multiple clinical trials and has co-authored journal articles and book chapters in the area of genitourinary malignancies. Board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine, Dr. Adesunloye is a member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI)’s Central Institutional Review Board, which provides oversight to NCI-funded clinical trials.

Dr. Lingam, board certified in medical oncology and hematology, has practiced in a variety of healthcare settings since 2007. Prior to CTCA Atlanta, she built and directed the oncology clinical trials program at Kaiser Permanente Georgia as part of the Kaiser Permanente National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). Dr. Lingam is dedicated to deepening her impact in the oncology space with special interests in research, community outreach and policymaking.

Dr. Adesunloye received a medical degree at the University of Ilorin in Nigeria. He completed fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Adesunloye also completed a residency in internal medicine and received a Master of Science in clinical research at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta.

Dr. Lingam received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Brown University in Providence, R.I. She earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., and completed an internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She also completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Lingam is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
