Newton will oversee full operations and fund-raising initiatives for the expanding international charity. The foundation is elated to welcome Newton to lead the progress of the charity.
“I am truly humbled for the opportunity Jeff and Cam extended to me, to serve a worthwhile and meaningful purpose and one that is in line with my beliefs, while changing the lives of children around the world,” Newton said. “I am intrigued with the Mission of changing lives and creating hope for children and I am looking forward to serving at All For One Foundation and carrying out Jeff and Cam’s vision.”
Born and raised in Belize City, Belize Central America, Newton through hard work, commitment, and humble beginnings opened doors, provided hopes and dreams for many throughout his career path in higher education. His first job in the United States was working for a small college in New York as a liaison with the community to provide a bridge for the underserved. Courteously and with pride he embraced his responsibilities; not allowing his tasks to be defined by a ‘Title’ but defined by his vision to grow and impact others. The opportunity to reach prospective students to pursue educational goals swiftly turned into an amazing career path in education to serve and make a difference in the lives of others.
Newton Myvett returned to Atlanta in July 2013 as president for The Art Institute of Atlanta, having served in that role at The Art Institute of Charleston, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, since September 2012. He brings
more than 25 years of experience in higher education administration changing lives. Building on his success as Vice President/Senior Director of Admissions at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and The Art Institute of Atlanta, he has also served The Art Institutes system of schools at the national level as Vice President of Admissions. In addition to Charleston, he has also been president of two other campuses of The Art Institutes – The Art Institute of Austin, and The Art Institute of Phoenix. Additionally, prior to joining The Art Institutes, Newton served as VP/Senior Director of Admissions for the largest Devry University located in New York and was later promoted to Dean of Enrollment for all of the Devry campuses for the state of Florida. For Newton Myvett, education isn’t a game-changer, it’s a life changer. This belief is what motivates him to keep leading others toward being truly exceptional.
During his vast tenure in higher education, Newton launched several new initiatives aimed at furthering innovation, interdisciplinary research, global engagement, international collaboration, and human capital development, as well as broadening participation. And it is because of this extensive background that Newton possesses the strategic vision, international expertise and commitment to research and education that will continue to build All For Ones reputation.
His proudest moments while serving as an educator derived from the exceptional work dedicated to building lasting relations within youths and the communities. Newton developed a strategic relationship with the Harvard Debate Council, providing high school students the prospect to participate in the annual Harvard Debate Team and he provided a home for that organization to operate. His humanitarian efforts involved voluntary work for Habitat for Humanity Brush with Kindness Initiative while sponsoring the meals for Atlanta Mission, and The Ronald McDonalds House, just to name a few.
Today’s challenges expand the innovative ideas for the creative and critical thinking of future leaders. This ideology is so relevant in today’s global environment and is a personal aspiration for Newton after dedicating more than 25 years in education impacting thousands of lives. Newton is committed to preparing future leaders for world and global challenges and used this platform to mentor, guide, and lead every youth in his path. This steadfast drive propels Newton’s interest to continue the vision of All For One children’s charity that is dedicated to improving social conditions, educational opportunities and healthcare availability for children around the world.
Newton earned his Bachelor of Science and his MBA from Purdue University and is currently a Doctoral candidate at Concord University, pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree.
