ALPHARETTA, Ga. — An Alpharetta woman met with police Nov. 15 after she was alerted to fraudulent activity through a credit report. On Nov. 4, the woman received a letter about a new bank account she had not created.

The woman decided to pull a credit report, and she found several loan applications made using her information.

She closed the accounts and froze her credit before contacting police.
