MILTON, Ga. — Milton Police arrested two men on felony drug charges May 17 following a traffic stop. 

A patrol officer made a traffic stop on the car after having observed it weave off the road along New Providence Road. 

According to the report, blunt wrappers were visible in the car, and the driver’s eyes were “droopy.” The officer returned to the suspect’s car after running their identifications and said there was an overwhelming odor of air freshener. The suspects did not reply when the officer asked why they had sprayed air freshener while he was in his patrol car. 

While conducting a search of the car, a K9 officer gave a positive alert for drugs. 

Officers found 13.4 ounces of marijuana, over a pound of THC gummy worms, 47 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 12 THC oil containers. The substances were located near the center console and inside two backpacks. 

Both men were arrested for three charges of possession of Schedule I drugs with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was also charged with failure to maintain lane.
