MILTON, Ga. — A Milton man told police he thinks his daughter’s friend stole his checks and used them for more than $2,600 in fraudulent purchases.

The man said he was made aware of the fraudulent activity when he attempted to withdraw money April 23 from the checking account and saw it had a negative balance. After looking at his bank statement, the man saw the fraudulent charges began five days before, after his daughter had her friends over.

The victim said he was contacted by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office inquiring whether he had issued a check to a Tsunami Brown. The man said he had not authorized the checks, and he was informed that Brown was in custody and charged with forgery after she was found in possession of his checks.
