MILTON, Ga. — A man reported a hit-and-run incident in which a possibly confused driver backed into his car and quickly left the scene.
The man said he was behind a black SUV while turning into Crooked Creek Club from Ga. 9. He said the driver of the SUV appeared to be confused as if they were unaware the neighborhood was gated.
The man said the SUV stopped before the guard shack and began backing up and hit the man’s truck, causing damage to the grille.
The man said he got out of his car to speak with the driver, and the man said the driver pointed forward in what he believed was an indication to move forward where they could park and exchange information.
The man said the SUV driver then followed a car going through the gate, made a U-turn, and exited the neighborhood onto Ga. 9. At the time of the report, police were attempting to access security footage to possibly identify the SUV’s license plate.
