ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Police arrested a teenager May 26 after he was seen driving at twice the speed limit on Westside Parkway.

Officers had been patrolling the area that evening, when they noticed the teenager speed past. Police radar said the teenager was driving at 80 mph in 40 mph zone. The teenager told police, after he was pulled over, that his transmission wasn’t working, and he hadn’t realized he was speeding. 

The teenager was arrested for reckless driving and speeding.
