JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Police arrested a teenager May 29 accused of starting fires behind Johns Creek High School.

Police received two 911 calls around 1:30 in the morning from residents of Medlock Bridge subdivision with homes that back up to the school. Police found burnt papers and trash strewn throughout the tree line.

A name in a composition book led police to a recent graduate who resides in the subdivision. The suspect admitted he had attempted to burn his high school paperwork and books but said he could not get them to light on fire.
