JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Middle schoolers at River Trail Middle School will present “Legally Blonde The Musical Jr.” on April 30, May 3 and May 4.

Based on the popular film, “Legally Blonde” follows Valley girl Elle Woods who, after being dumped by her college boyfriend, follows him to Harvard Law. The colorful story of self-empowerment features large dance numbers and plenty of laughs.

River Trail’s production includes about 45 students in the cast and crew, with help from Northview High School students on set design and choreography.

The cast stars Sanjh Mahatme as Elle, Ben Smith as Warner, Ella Schuman as Vivienne, Jacob Ferrero as Emmet, Andrew Amelchenko as Callahan, Trina Thomas as Paulette and Alisa Adkins and Brooke.

“[I love] being a part of ‘Legally Blonde’ because it gives me a chance to be me, sing my heart out and have fun,” sixth-grade cast member Eowynn Boyd said.

The show is directed by Timothy Tolar with set design by Brooke Casal and choreograph by Kabir Gandhi.

All shows begin at 7 p.m. The show will be performed in the middle school gym, at 10795 Rogers Circle.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students and teachers. Tickets will be available at the door and online at the River Trail website, bit.ly/rtmsblonde.
