JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The Target store at 5950 State Bridge Road reported a shoplifter who had been stealing multiple TI-84 graphing calculators on June 24.

The store security officer told police the male suspect was cutting tags off of the calculators and removing their packaging, and then placing them in his blue shopping bag.

The suspect was exiting the store as the police officer talked to the store’s security officer. He saw the suspect, who was holding a bag full of calculators with a total value of $664.95. All five of the packages had the security tags cut off, and the suspect had a pair of wire cutters on his person.

The security officer told police that the suspect had committed this same act a few hours earlier that day, but he hadn’t had a chance to report to police until then.

Police took the suspect to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department where his fingerprints were checked for other pending charges. Police obtained a Fulton County warrant for theft by shoplifting greater than $500.
