JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Police are investigating a threat of armed robbery in a Johns Creek neighborhood, where a woman reportedly came to a man’s doorstep demanding money and claiming he had plotted an armed robbery against her mother.
The man told police he knew nothing of the accusations, so he denied the woman any money and asked her to leave the premises. At this point, he said the woman started yelling and threatening him. He said he understood she was implying that he and his wife could possibly be robbed at gunpoint.
The man’s wife, who arrived a short time later, was also confronted in the driveway. She did not understand the woman’s accusations, she told police. After leveling the threats, the woman left on foot.
Police caught up with the woman later and found her in a car. She told police that she went to the house to tell the man’s parents that he had robbed her mother at gunpoint, but denied that she threatened the family in any way.
Police questioned the woman after they noticed an odor of marijuana. She was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
