More than 6,000 diplomas will be handed out this month to the Class of 2019 across the 17 high schools that make up the Fulton County School System. 

Special recognition is given to the two highest performing students, who were named valedictorian and salutatorian at each school. (Note: All information provided by the Fulton County School System).

Johns Creek

High School 

Valedictorian - Tyler Cole Bierfreund

Tyler Bierfreund will attend Georgia Tech in the fall where he will major in electrical engineering. He is the son of Brandon and Jennifer Bierfreund. Tyler is a member of the class council, and the school’s orchestra where he serves as an orchestral leader. He also volunteers with an orchestra ensemble that presents programs at various community sites, including hospitals and care centers.

Salutatorian -

Samuel William Song

Samuel Song will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he will major in materials science and engineering. He is the son of Minyan Zhuang and Xiao-Xi Song. At Johns Creek, Samuel is a member of the school’s varsity swim team where he holds numerous records. He is a USA Swimming Scholar All American, and a U.S. Winter Junior National qualifier. Samuel is also a member of the chamber orchestra, the All State Orchestra and the National French Honor Society.
