JOHNS CREEK, Ga. —Johns Creek High School held a spring signing day ceremony April 17 for six student-athletes who will be playing their sport at the collegiate level.
Ethan Davey signed his letter of intent to swim for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Davey has been a competitive swimmer for 10 years, including all four years at Johns Creek High School.
Davey is a four-year letterman whose accomplishments include being a 2019 state runner-up in the 50 free, being a recipient of the Gladiator award and 2018 MVP.
Ryan Harkin will be attending Johns Hopkins University on a Lacrosse scholarship. He has played lacrosse for 14 years, and for four as part of the JCHS team.
Harkin was a four-year varsity player, racking up over 130 career points and serving as team captain.
Chloe Kim will be playing soccer for Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. She has played soccer for 15 years.
A list of Kim’s accomplishments includes four-year soccer letter earner for JCHS, starting at the center mid position throughout her high school career.
Kim captained the team during her junior and senior year and contributed 28 career goals and 25 career assists thus far. Kim was named overall MVP in 2018, as well as ECNL and Top Drawer Soccer Player to Watch and consistently ranked among the top national and regional midfielders.
Kim has played for many high-level teams, planning for the United FA Girls Development Academy, Concorde Fire ECNL and Atlanta Fire United ECNL.
Julia Nicholas will be playing soccer for Furman University. She has played for sixteen years, two of them as a JCHS varsity team member.
Nicholas also served on the US National team training center, serving as captain U14; being a part of the Concorde Fire team who was sent to nationals annually; part of the 3v3 World Champion team for three years, and served as co-captain during her senior year, leading in scores, assists, and yellow cards.
Peter Salit will be playing Lacrosse at the University of Albany. Salit has been a Lacrosse player for eleven years, playing all four at JCHS.
He is a four-year varsity letterman, part of the 1st Team All-State, US Lacrosse All-American and the Georgia 6A/7A Player of the Year.
Preston Topper will be attending Kennesaw State University on a golf scholarship. He has played golf for 10 years, including being part of the 2018 JCHS State Champion Team. He also received the Low Medal Award in 2018 for having the lowest overall scores.
