CUMMING, Ga. – Two retailers have announced they will open locations in Halcyon. While still under construction, Halcyon Forsyth continues to expand its portfolio.
Society Boutique will add to its regional presence with its third store. It has locations at North Point Mall and Haynes Bridge Road.
The upscale boutique features popular and local brands specializing in quality clothing, accessories, home décor, and gifts for women of all ages. Also featured are several handmade accessories including candles, jewelry and art designed by Georgia artists and jewelers. The 1,400-square-foot store will sit between Canoe and Nina + Leigh and will be adjacent to Cherry Street Brewpub.
“I love combining new with found pieces that look clean and calm,” said Tanya Noegel, owner of Society Boutique. “I hope to accomplish a space that when customers come in they stay for a while because there are lots of things to see not just clothes…I think Haylcon has done an amazing job putting together this project and am grateful for the opportunity to be involved.”
Noegel said she looks forward to growing with the community.
“I want to work and live among my customers and build lasting relationships,” she said
The second new retailer, OAR Finer Goods, is scheduled for a fall opening.
Store owner and founder Lynn Kemp said OAR is a “brother” to her Canoe women’s bag and jewelry store, which also will take station at Halcyon. OAR is a men’s gift and lifestyle store featuring locally and naturally sourced products including custom baseballs, coasters, keychains, leather bags and wallets, T-shirts, candles, and more. The store is expected to be a short walking distance from Canoe near the central green space within the development and fill a 930-square-foot space near CMX CinéBistro.
“We have been on board with Halcyon for over a year and half,” Kemp said. “OAR Finer Goods came about at Halcyon because it is a men’s focused gift and lifestyle store and there was an opportunity to bring our newest concept store to this development.”
Halcyon provides an opportunity, she said, to expand the audience for her newest concept for guys.
“The décor of our stores keeps our customers around to linger longer,” she said. “We use one of a kind fixtures and create a shopping environment and experience we hope they enjoy and will return to often.”
These two new locations are some of many retailers opening in the Halcyon development at 6365 Halcyon Way. For more information about current and upcoming Halcyon retailers, visit www.visithalcyon.com.
