The 13th annual Bikes For Kids program is underway in November. The most-requested items at the North Fulton Community Charities’ Santa Shop are bicycles and tricycles for young children. In order to make these gifts possible, local non-profit Bike Alpharetta asks that friends and neighbors donated "previously loved" bikes/trikes/scooters so they can be refurbished. Since 2007, the program has provided 3,100 bicycles, tricycles and scooters, as well as more than 900 new youth helmets.

DONATE - People who live and work in Alpharetta are asked to drop off youth bicycles and tricycles at any Alpharetta Fire Station or at the Public Safety Headquarters through November 30. Many local bike shops are also collection points - Cannon Cyclery, Fresh Bike Service, Pedego Electric Bikes, Reality Bikes, REI (Alpharetta), Roswell Bicycles, Twisted Spokes Bicycles and Whitetail Bicycles.

VOLUNTEER - On December 7, 2019, more than 100 volunteers from the community and local bike shops will join forces to clean and repair all the bicycles and tricycles. It is called Domestique Day. As many as 300 items will be made Santa Ready that one day! For more information and to volunteer for a shift on Domestique Day, visit the Facebook Page @BikesForKidsAlpharetta.

  • Starting Tuesday, November 19th, 2019, repeated every 12 days until Saturday, November 30, 2019 — all day
