FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Last year, South Forsyth High School, the only partner school in Forsyth County, participated for the first time in the German language diploma exams. These exams are prepared by the German Federal Office of Administration of the Central Agency for Schools Abroad.
This very competitive process is only permitted to select schools in participating countries.
In the spring, 15 South Forsyth juniors and seniors took the exam, passed and are now eligible for their diploma.
With this honor, the students are now eligible to enroll in the preparatory school in Germany. There, they would complete their university studies with free college tuition.
Michael Gottert awarded diplomas to the students on Oct. 13.
