HamJam 2017 at Mill Springs Academy

HamJam 2017 will take place November 11, 2017 at Mill Springs Academy in Alpharetta, GA.

HamJam is an annual lecture series about amateur radio topics presented by the

North Fulton Amateur Radio League.

Said Spokesperson John Kludt, "Doors open at 8:00 AM. Admission is free, and the talks

will start at 9:00 AM and last until 1:00 PM concluding with raffle drawings for thousands

of dollars in prizes of amateur radio gear and accessories." He continued, "HamJam began

as a means to promote amateur radio in the Southeast by bringing respected contributors

to the local community."

Admission to HamJam is free.

Raffle tickets for over 30 prizes worth more than $7,000 total finance the event.

All proceeds from HamJam are used to fund the North Fulton Amateur Radio League's

educational outreach programs, which include youth scholarships and other activities,

such as the Girl Scout Super STEM Expo, Atlanta Maker Faire exhibit, ARRL Teachers

Institute on Wireless Technology, and Amateur Radio PR at the Georgia Science Teachers'

Convention.

HamJam will be held at Mill Springs Academy, 13660 New Providence Road, Alpharetta.
