ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The city of Alpharetta and the Rotary Club of Alpharetta will host the third annual Memorial Day Tribute on Monday, May 29 held at Alpharetta City Hall, 2 Park Plaza. The event is free for the public to attend.
Mayor David Belle Isle said, “If you are looking to embrace your community, celebrate our country, and honor those who, in establishing and protecting our freedoms and liberties, paid the highest price, then I can think of no better place to be than the Alpharetta Memorial Day Tribute. Come be a part of the fabric of Alpharetta.”
The Memorial Day Tribute will kick off with music by the Alpharetta City Band at 9 a.m.
The program begins at 9:30 a.m. which includes the invocation, Posting of Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem by Isha Shrotriya and Cade Jarrett. There will also be words from the keynote speaker, retired Colonel William J. Gallagher, as well as the laying of the wreath, 21-gun salute, and “Taps” performed by Arthur Yu.
Gallagher has an extensive background in the military, with a record of service and leadership.
