Would-be gunman holds up Alpharetta Von Maur



ALPHARETTA, Ga. – An employee at the Von Maur retail store at North Point Mall was held up at gunpoint March 27.

The victim told police she entered the employee entrance at 6:30 a.m. to open the store. A few minutes later, a masked man in a hoodie walked up to her, pointing at semi-automatic pistol at her, asking for the code to the safe. T

he victim said she initially thought it was a test of safety procedures. She said she thought she recognized the person. When she told him she did not have access to the safe, he left.

The suspect is described as a heavyset man, possibly driving a black BMW 4S.
