CUMMING, Ga. — A woman told deputies she stole from a store to give the merchandise to other people, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.
At 6 p.m. March 16, a loss prevention manager of Target, 2625 Peachtree Parkway, told deputies a woman was observed putting items in her shopping cart and attempted to leave the store without paying.
Irina Taranova, 26, was arrested for theft by shoplifting, a misdemeanor. She attempted to leave the store with $270 worth of merchandise.
“I take them and give it away to other people,” Taranova told deputies when asked why she stole the merchandise.
Taranova was transferred to the Forsyth County Detention Center.
