CUMMING, Ga. — Four women took off in two cars with three vacuum cleaners they never paid for, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

On July 20, an employee of Bed Bath and Beyond, 2623 Peachtree Parkway, said he watched as two women walked out of the store with four Dyson vacuum cleaners in their carts without stopping to pay for them.

The employee said he asked the woman if they paid for the items, but they ignored him and kept walking out in the parking lot.

He followed the women who met up with two other women in front of a black Chevrolet Equinox and another white Chevrolet car. The two women who were waiting at the cars loaded two vacuums in white car and one in the black car.

The employee said one of the women appeared to panic and left the fourth vacuum cleaner behind. Then, they drove off in separate directions while the employee called deputies to report the theft.

The three vacuums are valued about $1,200.

This report appeared in the August 8 issue of the Forsyth Herald.
