CUMMING, Ga. — Two families got into a fight over people being too loud during a movie. According to Cumming Police incident report, a woman was found lying on the ground of the hallway that connected the lobby and the theater rooms on March 20.
She told officers a man pushed her down after an argument inside the theater at 415 Atlanta Road.
The victim said she told him and his family to be quiet several times, but the incident degenerated into a face-to-face shouting match.
When both families tried to leave at the same time, the victim said a man in the other party pushed her down in the theater lobby and kept walking.
The man said the woman threw soda at him during the argument, and when he tried to leave, she followed him and tried to jump ahead of him.
He claimed she staged a fall in an attempt to fake an injury or gain attention. He and his family just walked away.
Witnesses differed on what really happened. Some witnesses said she faked the fall, while others said they saw the man kick her.
Police officers said no real crime happened, but advised the woman she could swear out a complaint if she wanted.
