CUMMING, Ga. — A woman was working in her home, and heard an intruder enter her basement, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

On Nov. 20, a woman in the 4000 block of Gavira Court told deputies she was upstairs when her dog started barking.

She said she went downstairs to check the front door, but saw no one.

Her dog continued to bark, so she went to check her basement

She said the basement door that leads outside was unlocked. The window by the door was open and had a crack in it.

When she looked outside, she saw a man jumping over her backyard fence.

She said she ran upstairs and called her husband and 911.

While on the phone with 911, the same man came back over her fence and headed toward her basement.

She yelled at him and he ran away into the woods.
