Whitney Houston’s daughter runs car off road in Alpharetta

Boyfriend later arrested for reckless driving

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Bobbi Kristina Brown – the daughter of singer Whitney Houston – and her boyfriend, Nicholas David Gordon, were both involved in separate traffic incidents on the same day in Alpharetta.

Brown, 19, allegedly drove her Chevy Camaro off the side of the street on Beaver Creek Road at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 28, just south of Mansell Road at North Point Parkway, and traveled down an embankment, coming to a rest near the Greenway.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle,” said Alpharetta Public Safety Spokesman George Gordon. “After traveling down the embankment, the vehicle struck a small number of trees. The vehicle came to a stop within the confines of our city’s Greenway park trail system.”

Brown was found standing beside the road when police arrived, uninjured.

“Alcohol or drugs are not considered to be a cause of the crash,” Gordon said.

She was cited for failure to maintain lane.

Later that day, Gordon, 23, was arrested by police for reckless speeding on North Point Parkway.

About 6:40 p.m., police on patrol by the mall spotted another Camaro driving 82 mph in a 35 mph speed zone. They pulled his car over and arrested him for speeding.

“The danger lies in the fact this is a high vehicular and pedestrian traffic area,” Gordon said.

Gordon was taken to Alpharetta’s jail.
