CUMMING, Ga. ¬¬ Bill Walker, who announced last month he would campaign for the Georgia House of Representatives against incumbent Mike Dudgeon, has withdrawn from the race.
Walker cited work and family responsibilities as the reason he chose to not qualify ahead of the noon deadline on Friday, March 7.
"My family fully supported my running for office. However, because changes in work and family obligations since announcing my campaign would have placed an undue hardship on them, I decided it would be best to withdraw at this time," Walker said.
House District 25 encompasses Johns Creek and south Forsyth County and is held by Rep. Mike Dudgeon, who qualified and is running unopposed.
