CUMMING, Ga. — A Dacula woman’s purse was stolen from her car, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s report.

At 6 p.m. March 17, the victim visited her daughter in the 2700 block of Lions Gate Drive. She told deputies it was raining hard and she rushed inside the home and forgot to lock her car.

The victim didn’t notice her purse was missing until the next morning when she got a call from her bank about suspicious transactions on her debit card.

A neighbor in the front of the subdivision showed deputies her surveillance video. The video shows a black Jeep Wrangler follow the victim’s 2008 Mazda Tribute into the neighborhood and speed out of the subdivision a few minutes later.

On March 18, the victim’s purse was recovered by a Gwinnett police officer. It was found in a mailbox in Buford. The purse didn’t have fingerprints to use for evidence.

The thief charged $358 to the victim’s card.
