CUMMING, Ga. — Someone stole a Ruger .22 caliber revolver handgun and a 50-count box of .22 caliber “magnum shells” from inside a man’s vehicle, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.
Deputies arrived at the man’s residence on Lee Circle at 5 p.m. April 17 where the man said his gun was taken from his 1988 Jeep Cherokee.
The man told deputies he placed the gun in plain view between the driver’s seat and the center console. The driver’s side door was unlocked at the time.
The man told deputies the handgun, which has a dark wood-grain handle and gold-plated emblem of an Indian head, belonged to his grandfather who recently passed away and left it in his possession.
