Thief nabbed in Alpharetta, found with pills

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A Duluth man was arrested Dec. 8 after allegedly trying to steal a jacket and was found to have dozens of pills on him illegally.

Police were called to the Macy’s store in North Point Mall where employees said they saw Rashad Charles Conner, 22, of Duluth, walk behind a sales counter and take a hooded jacket. He walked to the exit while allegedly ripping off the tags and security sensors.

Police arrested Conner for the theft and, while searching him, found a matchbox containing 41 pills of various kinds.

Conner had allegedly taken some prior to his arrest. While he contended he needed them for personal use, officers arrested him for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.
