Taylor Road TAG teacher Hartfield named ‘Best Mannered Teacher’

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – The National League of Junior Cotillion Alpharetta-Johns Creek chapter has named Taylor Road Middle School teacher Melissa Hartfield as its 2013 Best Mannered Teacher.

The National League is an etiquette and social dance training program, which involves thousands of middle school students nationwide. The Best Mannered Teacher essay contest honors teachers who exemplify the etiquette and manners taught in the NLJC program.

This year in the Alpharetta-Johns Creek chapter, 30 participating junior cotillion students wrote and submitted an essay to nominate a teacher in their school, highlighting their positive characteristics, how they show courtesy and respect for students and colleagues and how the person is a good role model.

Hartfield, a talented and gifted (TAG) language arts teacher at Taylor Road, was nominated by seventh-grade student Joshua Polevoy. His essay was selected as the winner.
