Talmadge Bolton retires from Forsyth’s DFACS Board

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — For his years of service to the community, Talmadge Bolton was recognized at the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners meeting April 4.

In 1977, Bolton was appointed by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners to serve on the Forsyth County Division of Family and Children’s Services Board. After 35 years of dedication to the families of Forsyth County, Bolton resigned his position on the DFACS Board in 2012.

Bolton also served on the local county hospital board in the 1970s, served twice on the county Planning and Zoning Board, and served on the board of directors at Citizen’s Bank of Forsyth County from 1997 to 2012.

The commissioners commended and thanked Bolton for his outstanding service to the community. Also during the recognition, DFACS representatives Margie Cranman and Beverly Martin presented Bolton with a plaque.
