Suspicious pair arrested after alarm in Roswell



ROSWELL, Ga. –– Police arrested two individuals during a traffic stop May 18 at 1:13 a.m. near the Kohl’s on Holcomb Bridge Road.

According to the report, police responded to an alarm at the store. While there, they spotted a vehicle passing slowly by the store and “acting suspiciously.” Police made contact with the driver of the car, Kyrin Lashaun Griffin, 19, of Autumn Ridge Trail, Roswell, and passenger Reginal Lynn Dunning, 19, of Ashley Forest Drive, Alpharetta, and noticed the smell of burning marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, police found a stolen handgun and 19.5 grams of marijuana.

Both parties denied ownership of the items and both were charged with theft by receiving a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Griffin, the driver, was also charged with driving without a license.
