MILTON, Ga. – A haunting this is not – a home on Cogburn Lane had its stovetop vanish Oct. 17 and vandalism occur inside the locked home Oct. 21.
According to the victim, the house is under construction. On Oct. 17, he had painters in and, as of 9 a.m., the Frigidaire Stainless Steel Professional Series stovetop was fully installed in the kitchen. The victim left the home with painters still working and returned the same day at 3 p.m. At that time, he noticed the stove was missing.
Several days later, on Oct. 20, the house was reportedly in great shape. The next day, at 1:15 p.m., the victim reported finding damage to walls and the staircase, with spindles broken and rammed into the drywall. The house was reportedly locked tight.
The cost to replace the stove was put at $780. The repairs to the home would cost $1,500.
