CUMMING, Ga. – State Rep. Mark Hamilton (R-Cumming) was recently honored as one of four Texas A&M University-Kingsville distinguished alumni at the school’s recent homecoming ceremony.
“I am truly honored that I was recognized as a distinguished alumni by my alma mater,” said Hamilton. “It was very special and meaningful to me to receive this distinction along with so many other outstanding former classmates.”
Each year, a number of alumni are chosen for special recognition. In addition to their professional achievements, these alumni are also recognized for their service to both their alma mater and their communities.
This year, four alumni received the Distinguished Alumni Award. Other alumni that were recognized along with Hamilton include Abel Lopez of Washington D.C., Gloria Hicks of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Balous Miller of San Antonio.
“We are so proud to honor Mark Hamilton as a distinguished Javelina alumnus,” said Dr. Steven Tallant, president of Texas A&M-Kingsville. “Mark’s career in business and years of public service are wonderful examples of the great impact our alumni are making across the country.”
