ATLANTA — A local scientist is working toward a cure for the Dengue virus, a mosquito-borne, tropical disease that infects 100 million people and kills 24,000 people annually.
“We are doing a great humanitarian work,” said Darnisha Harrison, president of Ennaid Therapeutics, whose global biopharmaceutical company is focused on the development and commercialization of vaccines for infectious diseases.
Harrison is currently seeking investors to help fund the Dengue cure.
This month, Ennaid Therapeutics begins preclinical trials in non-human primates.
