Samaritan in Johns Creek turns out to be suspect

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – A 65-year-old woman stranded on the side of the road April 1 was helped by a man she alleges robbed her.

The victim had pulled to the side of Medlock Bridge Road at 2:24 p.m. after her tire went flat.

She was on the phone with AAA to make arrangements for them to change the tire when a short man reached through the open passenger window and handed to her a can of Fix-A-Flat to inflate her tire.

The victim took the can without paying attention to the man. A short time later, she noticed her purse was missing.

It had been on the passenger side seat. Inside was $500 cash.

One of the stolen credit cards was used shortly after the theft at a QT gas station store in Suwanee.
