Rotary of Alpharetta installs new board



ALPHARETTA, Ga.— The Rotary Club of Alpharetta installed its new 2012-2013 board of directors who will guide the club’s civic activities and fundraising programs over the next 12 months.

Bill Weeks, newly elected president congratulated past President Sam Gordon for a great year.

The oath ceremony for the president, board of directors and members was conducted by Assistant Governor for Rotary Doug Higgins.

“I am honored to be the new president of the Rotary Club of Alpharetta and am excited to work with my fellow club members as we give back and help to the make our community, state, country and world a better place,” said Weeks.

The new board includes Bill Weeks, president; Dan Merkel, president-elect, Mark Buelow, treasurer; Phil Kingry, secretary; Jason Binder, new generations; Janet Rodgers, public relations; Kirk Driskell, membership; Karen Nolan, international service; Eric Douglas, fundraising; John Hipes and Rick Leaman, sergeant of arms; Heather Demis, community service; Mike Hart, Rotary Foundation; James Benson, programs/speakers; and Chris Lagerbloom, club service.
