Roswell couple learns to not harvest other people’s bamboo

ROSWELL, Ga. – Police had to warn a Roswell couple April 30 after they allegedly harvested bamboo from what they thought was a vacant house.

Police were told by a neighbor that the couple was seen loading large black bags into their car, taken from a Fouts Road address. Tracking the license plate, police confronted the couple, who admitted to going on the property to harvest the wild bamboo that grows there.

They said they do this regularly around town for use in their own cooking and to sell to local Thai restaurants.

Police warned the couple against going onto other people’s property.
