ORLANDO, Fla. — For the second year in a row, the Roswell Performing Arts “Roswell Showstoppers” traveled more than 450 miles from Roswell to take part in Disney Performing Arts.
On June 7, the students entertained guests at Waterside Stage in downtown Disney.
Under the direction of Tequila Wilkes and Ymani Tannis, the group put on a choreographed performance for the guests and also participated in a “Disney Dancin’: Young Performer Edition” workshop. The students had the opportunity to view a memorable Disney dance on film and then undergo a simulated rehearsal and a finale performance.
The workshop and the simulated rehearsal were under the guidance of an experienced Disney teaching artist.
In the 25-year history of the Disney program, millions of students from around the world have performed and participated.
