CUMMING, Ga. — Two men took cash from a smoke shop in Cumming, but would have accepted “spice,” according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.
At 8:20 p.m. Feb. 26, two men dressed all in black came into Heads Off Smoke Shop, 2325 Atlanta Highway, and approached the register, an employee told deputies.
At the register, one of the men handed the employee a note saying, “Give me the spice or the money.”
The employee told him he didn’t have any spice, so the robber told him to give him money from the cash drawer.
Spice is a type of synthetic marijuana that is banned from being sold in the county.
The employee handed over $200 from the register. The robber told him it was not enough money and he demanded more.
The victim asked the robbers to follow him to the neighboring gas station.
When they got outside, the suspects changed their minds and ran to a dark-colored getaway car and drove away toward Peachtree Parkway.
The victim said he recognized the suspects as being regular customers, but didn’t know their names.
Neither the gas station nor the smoke shop had video surveillance of the area.
Deputies canvassed the area, but were not able to find any additional evidence.
