FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The voter registration deadline for the January 7 Special Election to fill the vacancy in Georgia House District 22 is Monday, December 9. In Forsyth County, Georgia House District 22 encompasses the entire Brandywine precinct, portions of the Polo precinct, portions of the Midway precinct, and all of the former Vickery precinct. All of the former Vickery precinct voters have been reallocated to either the Polo or Midway precinct. Only those voters who reside in Georgia House District 22 are eligible to vote in this election.
Forsyth County residents wishing to register to vote or to change their name and/or address on the voter registration list may do so at the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections Office, located in the County Administration Building at 110 E. Main Street (Suite 200) in Cumming. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A Voter Registration Application may also be downloaded from the Forsyth County Web site at www.forsythco.com.
To be eligible to vote in the January 7 Special Election and/or February 4 runoff (if needed), a Voter Registration Application must be completely filled out and either USPS postmarked or otherwise delivered to the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections Office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9.
Please note: Due to changes in precinct boundary lines and polling locations in December 2013, it is highly possible your voting precinct and/or polling location may have changed. Please verify your Election Day precinct at www.forsythco.com prior to heading out to vote.
