RUMC salutes America with Sounds of the Spirit Concert

Tribute to U.S. military an annual favorite



ROSWELL, Ga. – Roswell United Methodist Church’s Sounds of the Spirit Concert Series will present the 32nd annual Roswell Patriotic Celebration Friday, June 28 and Sunday, June 30.

The patriotic celebration features the 120-voice Sanctuary Choir under the direction of Dr. Michael O’Neal and the 52-member Atlanta Wind Symphony under the direction of Dr. Cliff Towner.

Musical selections include favorites such as “America the Beautiful,” “God Bless America,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

This patriotic extravaganza salutes America, her history and those who have served the country so well – the members of the armed forces. Each branch of the military will be represented as active, veteran and fallen personnel are honored.

Special tributes will feature the legacies of President John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Special guests in addition to military representatives include the 94th Airlift Wing Dobbins Base Honor Guard and Ira Jackson, narrator.
