FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — February is Prevent-a-Litter Month and the Humane Society of Forsyth County, a no-kill rescue, is sponsoring free cat spaying and neutering all month.
Dr. Tracy Land of Pet Vet in Cumming has partnered with the Humane Society to help prevent litters and reduce overpopulation of cats.
The Humane Society is providing funding through SNAP, its low-income assistance program for county residents.
To register and schedule a cat, stop by the Humane Society, 4440 Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, to complete an application.
Bring proof of financial need (welfare, food stamps, unemployment) and a current rabies vaccination.
If needed, a rabies vaccine can be purchased at Pet Vet for $15 on surgery day.
