CUMMING, Ga. — A woman walked through the parking lot of Los Maguey’s and was hit by a car and then beaten by the driver, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.
On May 29, deputies arrived at the restaurant, 5465 Bethelview Road, and found the victim with visible scratches and lacerations on her face, elbows and feet.
The victim, who said she is four weeks pregnant, told deputies when she walked through the parking lot of the restaurant, she was hit by a black 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt.
The female driver got out and punched her in the head and stomach, which knocked her to the ground.
The victim said the driver went back into the car, grabbed a gun and held it to the victim’s head while she yelled at her. The suspect then took the victim’s cellphone and repeatedly hit her in the head with it until it shattered.
The victim was taken to Northside Hospital Forsyth for treatment of her injuries.
The perpetrator faces felony aggravated assault charges and battery against a pregnant woman.
