CUMMING, Ga. — Someone broke into the Cumming Fairgrounds for a pony ride, according to a Cumming Police incident report.
On May 22, the manager of the fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road, called the police because he found the gate to the side of the arena broken and hoof tracks in the ground.
He said there were also bicycle tracks all over the stage where chairs had been set up for a high school graduation ceremony.
The manager said the fence, floor and rental machine to repair the damage to the gate totaled at $450. The grounds crew had to repack the ground and reline it with chalk for the ceremony.
