CUMMING, Ga. — A 12 year-old Piney Grove Middle School student can add author to her resume with a recently published collection of inspirational stories aimed at children.
Caroline Stoerker wrote “Alive in Him,” published by Zoe Life Publishing. She said she put the book together with help from her grandmother, Ellie Krause. She said she wrote the devotional short stories, relevant Bible scriptures and life applications to help children make better life choices.
She credits her mother, Susan Stoerker, for doing “everything else” necessary for the book’s success.
Stoerker wrote stories about children in difficult situations, “doing the right thing,” and shared them with her friends.
She received positive feedback and decided to publish the stories to help other children make better choices.
“I wrote my book because I love to write, and I wanted other kids and teens to learn about God, too,” she said. “I can’t believe all the opportunities that I have had this summer to share my book. God has helped me to put my dreams in action.”
Stoerker has already shared the news about her book with some 300 students. She was also interviewed on “I Will Stand,” an Internet talk radio program, and Channel 57’s Atlanta Live Talk Show.
The author has two more books being released in December, “Little Bee and the Great Honey Contest” and “Little Bee and the Big Bully Bee.”
The two books are part of the Little Bee series, designed for children ages 3-8, and tell the tale of a young bee and her family as they learn life lessons about perseverance, courage and being kind to others.
Stoerker’s book, “Alive in Him” is available for purchase at Heavenly Dove in Cumming and online at Amazon.com, www.carolinestoerker.com and www.zoelifepub.com.
