Pinecrest’s 2013 grads receive $2.3M in scholarships



CUMMING, Ga. –– Members of the Pinecrest Academy class of 2013 were sent forth May 25 with a solid foundation for the future.

The class received over $2.3 million in scholarships from 56 colleges and universities and five college-accepted students chose to defer college to give a year of service to the Catholic Church.

Each year, graduating seniors are presented formation awards: Apostleship, Leadership and Athletic along with the Integer Award, which recognizes Pinecrest’s motto of Semper Altius (always higher), is given to two students who best resemble the motto. The following awards were presented:

Integer Award Winners were Thomas Ross and Olivia Fleck.

The Apostleship Award for the girls went to Jinny Kim.

The Apostleship Award for the boys was awarded to JP Martins.

Leadership Award for girls was presented to Paloma Carroll.

Leadership Award for boys went to John Paul Metz.

Athletic Award for girls was presented to Cayce Hamilton.

Athletic Award for boys was went to Zachary Guard.

Valedictorians for the Class of 2013 were Annie Lagomasino and Austin Ward.

Salutatorians for the Class of 2013 were Erica Papa and Rafael Skokanic.

Community sponsored awards were also presented.
