CUMMING, Ga. — A thief smashed a woman’s car window and stole her purse, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s incident report.

At 3:15 p.m. March 14, a woman parked her 2005 Lincoln Navigator at Walgreens, 1650 Buford Highway, and went inside.

When she returned to her car five minutes later, the driver’s side window was shattered and her Coach purse was missing. The purse contained her school identification card, a phone and an external hard drive.

The victim said there was a silver van parked beside her when she went inside, but had no way to tell if the person inside it was a suspect.

The value of the purse and its contents were not listed in the report.
